Disney is a great place to visit if you love baby animals. We know lots of our own Kenny the Pirate Crew members are huge animal fans. I (Heather) love catching a glimpse of the baby zebras or baby Cora when on the Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Animal Kingdom offers a unique experience from the other Disney theme parks right out of the gate. But don’t forget it’s Nahtazu, pronounced: “It’s not a zoo”. Nahtazu, is a made-up word by Disney to show the world that Animal Kingdom is a lot of things, but it is not a zoo.

Another addition is a new Sumatran tiger cub, who recently made his debut. Baby Bakso has park Guests lining up for the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia just to get a glimpse. In addition to this, you will soon be able to see baby otters in the Otter Grotto at Discovery Island.

Guests visiting Animal Kingdom can now see even more baby animals. New Malayan great argus pheasant chicks have made their debut! These chicks grow fast and are following mom around the aviary.

The Malayan argus pheasant chicks can be found in the aviary on Maharajah Jungle Trek!

Look for these chicks in the aviary on the Maharajah Jungle Trek! The chicks are raised only by the females and become independent very fast.

What Does This Mean for You?

The Maharajah Jungle Trek has been very busy lately, with wait times reaching over an hour! So, if you are planning a visit to the Maharajah Jungle Trek, be prepared. There could be a wait to experience the attraction.

We love seeing all these new Disney additions!
