Big Update for Disney’s Little Mermaid Show

Disney fans have been waiting for news on the brand new “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for quite some time. Finally, we get a big update for this new show.

Hollywood Studios New Shows

Voyage of the Little Mermaid has been MIA since March 2020; Disney promised that a new show would take its place. Titled, The Little Mermaid- Musical Adventure”, this will be a re-imagined theatrical production.

Originally promised to debut in the fall of 2024, a new opening date is now set for the summer of 2025. This summer will be big at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Nestled in the shadows of the Tower of Terror (the former location of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy), the new “Unfairly Ever After” villains show will open in Summer 2025. See the most recent updates for this new show HERE.

Little Mermaid Show Update

After a few months of no news on the new “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure,” Disney finally provides an update and adds the show to the Walt Disney World website.

This new page also shares information about the show: “Watch as Ariel follows her dreams to be part of the human world. This little mermaid’s adventure is brimming with familiar moments—like encounters with King Triton and Ursula—and stirring scenes.”

Throughout Ariel’s journey, get swept away by moving musical numbers like “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Kiss the Girl,” and more!

Little Mermaid Show Opening

The biggest update that we are still waiting for is when this show will open. The web page continues to offer the same promise of Summer 2025.

Details are finally added for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” on the Walt Disney World web page.

It felt strange that Disney had added a web page and details for the new “Unfairly Ever After” villains show and still “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” details were missing. Our fingers are crossed for an opening in early Summer 2025.
