Wine Bar George is One of the Best Choices for Dinner in Disney

If you are visiting Walt Disney World and are looking for a great place to eat in Disney Springs, don’t forget about Wine Bar George. It is more than just a wine bar; it is a fantastic place to head for a meal.

Dining in Walt Disney World

If you are visiting Walt Disney World, remember that there are plenty of great dining options beyond the theme parks. In fact, some of Disney World’s very best restaurants are not in the parks at all.

For example, Guests can find great Disney Dining at Walt Disney World’s Resort hotels! And, you can reserve dining at a hotel restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Guests should also be sure not to overlook Disney Springs for excellent meals. The best part about it is that there is no theme park admission required to visit Disney Springs, making it an ideal spot to stop for a meal on a rest day or on a day when the park you are visiting has closed ahead of dinner time. Disney hotels provide complementary buses to Disney Springs, and most (but not all) parking is free.

Wine Bar George

One of the very best restaurants in all of Disney Springs is Wine Bar George: Restaurant and Bar. Don’t let the restaurant’s name fool you. Wine Bar George is more than just a place to grab drinks.

Your Kenny the Pirate writing team was fortunate to be invited to enjoy a dinner at Wine Bar George. And, as a result, we can confirm that Wine Bar George is still one of the best places to grab dinner in Disney World in 2025. Here is a review of everything we ate.

Getting to Wine Bar George

If you want to indulge in dinner at Wine Bar George, getting there is relatively simple. If you are staying at a hotel that is part of the Walt Disney World Resort collection, you can take bus transportation to Disney Springs. The bus drop-off is at Town Center, which is only a short walk from the Landing, where Wine Bar George is located. Some resorts such as Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside and Saratoga Springs Resort also offer boat transportation to Disney Springs.

If you want to drive, there is still free parking in Disney Springs, though not all of it is free. The Lime Garage will get you a touch closer to Wine Bar George than the Orange Garage.

And, you can utilize rideshare if you like. It will drop you off at the Market Place, which is a slightly longer walk to Wine Bar George at the Landing.

Wine Bar George is located right across from Gideon’s Bakehouse. This is convenient if you want some great dessert afterward. If you time your dinner reservation right, you can hit up hot cookie hour at Gideon’s from 7:00-8:00 PM.

Dinner at Wine Bar George

Diners can join George Miliotes, Master Sommelier for meals at Wine Bar George. One of the things that sets Wine Bar George apart from everything else is that is the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in all of Florida!

The menu, which is influenced by Spanish flavors, is primarily small plates, cheese and charcuterie, entrées, and family-style plates. While you can order plates for yourself, many of them were meant to be shared.

The atmosphere is warm and industrial. It is a little loud (in the most boisterous of ways) downstairs, but there are quieter tables upstairs if you prefer.

Small Plates

Wine Bar George offers quite a variety of small plates. If you wanted, you could make a meal of just these delightful dishes.

We have had the famous crispy mac n cheese bites in the past. We are happy to report that they are still a favorite. They are delightfully cheesy and pair perfectly with the marinara.

The Saganaki on Fire is another dish that is typically a crowd-pleaser. We ordered this as well. If you have never had it, you can expect quite a nice show. Your server will bring the cheese out and set it ablaze table side. The server will then extinguish the flames with the juice of a fresh lemon!

I have had this dish many times in the past. On this particular night, it was not as gooey and creamy as it usually is. However, the flavors were still good. This may have been an off-night for this particular dish. Happily, this was the closest thing to a misstep in our meal that evening.

We also decided to try something new! We ordered the Sweet Potato & Brussels Sprouts. Everything about this dish was absolute perfection. The Brussels Sprouts and sweet potatoes were prepared in a soy marinade and served along with mushrooms and micro cilantro.

The combination of flavors was bright and earthy at the same time. Every element was delicious, but we especially loved the mushrooms.

While we didn’t order the hummus or burrata that evening, it is also a dish we can wholeheartedly recommend. We can also recommend the boards, which we have had on other occasions as well!

Family Style Plates

We decided to skip over individual entrees for this meal and share one of the family-style plates. We selected the skirt steak.

This is a dish that is packed with flavor. If you like skirt steak, you will love this. It is prepared with caramelized celeriac & fennel, mushrooms, tomato, kale, roasted potatoes, and chimichurri. This is another dish where every element of the plate is delicious!

The meal is meant to serve four people. Our party of three could not finish it, and there was certainly enough left for a fourth person. In fact, you could share it among more than four people, especially if you share a few small plates first!

Overall Impressions

Overall, Wine Bar George is one restaurant that has remained consistently good over the years. Whether you are looking for brunch, lunch, or dinner, it is a reliable option for a great meal.
