Surprise Disney Resort Characters Are Now Offering Schedules

Many question the perks of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort with growing prices and dwindling perks. Now Disney makes a change to a popular perk to meet surprise characters at Walt Disney World Resorts. What do you think of this change?

Part of what makes a Disney vacation so magical is interacting with your favorite characters. Princesses, The Fab 5, Pixar characters, and more come to life in theme parks and resorts.

It is such a magical experience to be surprised as a princess is simply wandering through Fantasyland or you see Mickey and his pals at your resort lobby. Disney Characters began appearing at Walt Disney World Resorts for the 50th Celebration starting back in 2021.

Thankfully, these fun character interactions continued even past the anniversary festivities. Now, Disney is making a change that we LOVE!

How to meet characters at Disney Resorts

Initially, these characters arrived unscheduled and will not appear in resort activity offerings. Many feel that these unexpected character interactions make Disney Parks so magical.

The negative side of this surprising magical interaction is that you could miss characters if you were not in the right spot at the right time. Walt Disney World Resorts heard our cries and made a great change.

At many Walt Disney World Resort lobbies, a sign now displays when characters will arrive at the lobby for character interactions. This varies by each resort, and which characters to arrive is always a surprise.

Characters at Disney Resorts

For example, the Port Orleans French Quarter announces a Disney Character Experience on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30 AM -10:20 AM. Both informational signs and the character meetings take place in the resort’s lobby.

Informational signs for dates and times to meet characters are now added at Disney resorts.

Currently, Art of Animation shares to be on the lookout for your favorite Disney characters on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 2:30 PM -3:20 PM. These days and times may change, so be sure to check your Disney resort lobby for updated times.
