It is always disappointing when any closure takes place at a theme park during your visit. This is even more frustrating when it is an attraction that you and your travel party have on your must-do list.
Closures are necessary to keep the attractions maintained and safe for everyone. After all, safety needs to be a priority for everyone to have fun.
Pteranodon Flyers
Pteranodon Flyers is a popular attraction in Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando. Riders MUST be below 56” tall or accompanied by a child to ride.
The ride only has 3 ride vehicles. Wait time can become long because so few people can experience the attraction at once.
Unfortunately, last April this ride closed with no set reopening date. However, we were very happy to report that in January it was spotted that ride testing was taking place!
Back Open!
Today, we have great news for Pteranodon Flyers fans! Pteranodon Flyers is now open, finally welcoming back riders since its lengthy closure beginning on April 17th!
Pteranodon Flyers is finally back open!
This is exciting news. With the extended closure, many were thinking this could be the end of the beloved attraction. The cause is still unknown as to why the attraction had such an extended closure, but it has been speculated that the repairs that were needed would be hard to obtain.
We are happy to see this attraction operating and welcoming guests to soar once again!
