Lightning Lane Premier Pass is a relatively new way of skipping the lines at Disney Parks. It is a little different from Lightning Lane Single-Pass and Lightning Lane Multi-Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience Disney theme park to enjoy at your leisure that day. With Premier Pass, there is no need to secure reservations with your phone for individual attractions. You just show up and ride.

Of course, this convenience comes at a big price. Passes can reach over $449 per person per day for the service depending on which park you are visiting.

Now a big change is coming for Premier Pass for those who are visiting Disneyland Resort! Here is the official word from Disneyland:

Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25, the purchase window for Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disneyland Resort will be extended to up to 7 days in advance of a park visit. However, this is not true for all guests!

Guests visiting with a Walt Disney Travel Company package are welcome to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass when they receive their park tickets 3 days in advance of their arrival. So, there is a bit of a disadvantage if you go this route and you want to guarantee a change at purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Pass for your Disneyland vacation.

What About Walt Disney World

At this time, the change is only relevant to Disneyland. Walt Dinsey World Lightning Lane Premier Pass is still available for purchase 7 days in advance to those staying at select Disney World properties. Other guests can purchase it up to 3 days in advance while availability lasts.

The changes only affect Disneyland Resort at this time.
