Celebrity Filming at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom guests enjoyed special filming, and we can’t wait to see the completed project. Find out who we spotted enjoying a Mickey ice cream sandwich at Magic Kingdom.

Special Filming

Walt Disney World is a popular vacation destination for many and is even used as a set for many popular television shows. Did you know that Disney’s Hollywood Studios served as a filming set when it was MGM Studios?

Before MGM Studios officially opened in May of 1989, it served as a filming set for Newsies and Earnest Saves Christmas. Throughout the year, special filming takes place throughout Walt Disney World, such as near the holidays.

Many of our favorite television shows also use Walt Disney World as a filming set, such as Full House, Family Matters, The Middle, Black-ish, and many more. We even saw football royalty film a special at Magic Kingdom.

Celebrity Filming

Yesterday, February 27, 2025, we noticed that the hub grass to the left when facing Cinderella Castle was roped off. Later, we spotted a full camera crew and quite a crowd of guests surrounding this location.

When filming began, we spotted Blippi. If you have young kids, Blippi probably needs no introduction to you. This character first appeared on YouTube, but as his popularity grew, so did his reach.

You can now see Blippi on YouTube, Netflix, on stage tours, and so much more. His iconic clothes and animated personality make him a favorite with the young and the young at heart. One grandad appeared starstruck when he couldn’t believe he was seeing Blippi in person at Magic Kingdom.

When we saw Blippi filming, he wore his classic outfit but with one fun accessory that all Disney fans will easily recognize: a “My First Visit” button.

Special filming took place with Blippi on February 27th at Magic Kingdom.

We saw Blippi enjoying a Mickey Mouse ice cream sandwich with his best friend Meekah. Later in the filming, Blippi interacted with both Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We are unsure when this special filming will air, but we can’t wait to see every magical moment.
