Disney Set to Close This Resort Perk

We hoped that Disney would extend this resort perk, but it will close soon. Find out what this means as higher crowds prepare for their Walt Disney World vacations.

2025 Disney Resort Perk

For 2025, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy admission to one of the water parks on check-in day! This is included with your stay.

This is a great perk for many and will grow in popularity as we head into spring and summer. Previously, both water parks were open simultaneously, but since 2020, there has been no overlap in having both water parks open to guests.

Typically, Typhoon Lagoon closes in mid-November while Blizzard Beach reopens. Earlier, Disney announced a reopening date for Typhoon Lagoon of May 1st. Typically, this news comes with a closing date for Blizzard Beach.

Closing Date for Blizzard Beach

Interestingly, Disney has not announced a closing date for Blizzard Beach. Many wondered if both water parks may open simultaneously in 2025 because of the newest resort perk for free water park admission.

Today, the May 1st calendar appears on the Walt Disney World calendar. Blizzard Beach offers no operational hours starting in May. It appears that Disney will, in fact, have only one water park open when heading into the peak season.

Peak Season at Disney World

This perk is gaining popularity with guests. Many guests attempting to park at Blizzard Beach have been redirected to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort due to the parking lot being full. Guests then take a bus to Blizzard Beach from this resort.

Blizzard Beach offers no operational hours beginning May 1, 2025.
