Even though the live-action reboots have had mixed reviews, people tend to receive live-action prequel stories such as Maleficent or Cruella more favorably. Mufasa: The Lion King will take moviegoers along on Mufasa’s rise to royalty in The Pride Lands.
Disney developed a prequel to the film called Mufasa: The Lion King. It is a CGI film that provides audiences with the back story surrounding the famous lion who would one day rule the Pride Lands.
Even though the film had a modest theatrical run, it still has gone beyond the break-even point on its $200 million budget. The film has earned over $600 million.
When Can You Stream?

Mufasa: The Lion King became available for streaming at home on February 18, 2024!
It is currently available on Prime Video for $29.99. Rentals are $24.99 for a 48-hour rental period.
The film is also available for purchase or rent on other streaming platforms such as AppleTV and Fandango at Home.
When Can I see it on Disney+
