A lot is changing at Animal Kingdom right now. DinoLand is about to be extinct at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. An entire new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can’t wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!

It’s Tough to Be a Bug will permanently close on March 17th making way for a new Zootopia attraction.

Luckily, one attraction only closed for its yearly refurbishment. On January 6, 2025, Kali River Rapids temporarily closed. At the time of the closure announcement, no reopening date had been set.

The attraction reopening soon is great news ahead of the Spring Break crowds. Animal Kingdom already has limited offerings due to the many closures, which makes many feel that this is a “half-day park.”

With heavy crowds expected during Spring Break and limited attractions in Animal Kingdom, be sure to have a good park touring strategy. We recommend using Character Locator!
