Universal Has New Attractions Coming to All of the Parks

Universal Orlando Resort has just confirmed that new attractions are coming to all its theme parks, even Epic Universe! Here is what we know so far!

Big Changes for Universal Orlando Resort

Everyone is thrilled about the opening of a brand-new theme park. Universal Orlando Resort is expanding to open Epic Universe in May.

Epic Universe isn’t even open yet, and already it is turning heads! People are eager to enjoy this new park full of immersive theming, thrills, and nostalgia, even those who have never been to Universal Orlando Resort before. According to Universal, it will be a place where people “don’t have to think about anything, but they get to feel everything.”

And Universal is not stopping the development of its parks with Epic. There will be continuing developments to keep Universal Orlando Resort and Universal’s Islands of Adventure relevant.

Universal Expansions

Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, dropped some exciting news during a video she made promoting Epic Universe. During the video, she spoke on Epic, but she did not ignore the existing parks.

In fact, she stated, “There are so many things in the works now.” And, she also said, “We have a slate of new attractions that were already in development for every one of our parks.”

There are even already plans underway to expand Epic Universe! Universal is certainly making strides toward harnessing the attention of fans and holding.

What is next for the Parks

You can see the entire video clip here. While Universal has left many of the anticipated additions shrouded in mystery, we do know a few things.

For example, we know that Universal Studios Orlando will get a new roller coaster. Universal is replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. You can see when it will close HERE. If Universal brings in another coaster as good as recent additions like VelociCoaster and Hagrid’s, it could be a game changer for Studios.

We also know that there have been some great places for reworking existing areas of the park. For example, Poseidon’s Fury at Universal’s Islands of Adventure has been out of commission and still stands, waiting to be replaced.

Rumors are already swirling the internet about what could be next.

And, of course, there are plenty of rumors. You may have heard that IP like Zelda or Wicked is coming. So far none of those things are confirmed. Still, it is fun to speculate and dream, isn’t it?
