Magic Kingdom fans have been waiting for a nighttime parade since 2016. Disney just made a BIG step forward for the new “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” parade. You do not want to miss this!
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away”
Disney recently announced Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, an all-new nighttime parade. The new parade is heading to The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World this summer.
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” will draw inspiration from the rich history of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom. In fact, Disney has promised that there will be more than a few Easter eggs for Disney parade fans to discover and delight in.
This parade will show reverence to the original classic characters while also including contemporary stories such as Moana, Frozen, and Encanto.
Big Step Forward for Disney Starlight
Disney promises that this will be a big step forward with innovation. The members of the Disney Live Entertainment Costuming team are creating innovative lighting techniques and whimsical custom fabrics that will make the costumes look as if they have been “kissed by starlight.”
Now “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” appears on the My Disney Experience app and also on the Walt Disney World website. This makes it feel even more real.
There are no showtimes listed, but Disney promises this will open in the summer of 2025. Disney describes this parade as “a star-kissed constellation of Disney dreams, brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy.”
Disney Starlight Parade Details
We are still waiting for Disney to announce showtimes for this parade. It may take a bit of planning to enjoy fireworks, favorite attractions to enjoy at night, and this new nighttime parade all in one evening.
The Disney Starlight Parade is now added to the My Disney Experience app.
Disney confirms the parade route will begin in Frontierland and finally make its way to Main Street, U.S.A. This is the same parade route used for the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the parades during specially ticketed events.
