This Fantasmic! Hack Is About To Change

Fantasmic! is the premier nighttime show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Soon, a popular hack will change to enjoy preferred seating for this show. Be sure to check out this change so you can plan accordingly.

The nighttime show Fantasmic! is a story where Mickey is transported into a dream. He dances along with music, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics. Various characters and scenes from popular Disney movies are part of the sequence as well.

Fantasmic! first opened in Disneyland in 1992 when Disney Imagineers were offered the challenge to create a show featuring both water and fireworks. MGM Studios, now Disney’s Hollywood Studios, debuted Fantasmic in 1998. Last year, the show received a few much-needed changes.

In 2022, Fantasmic! reopened with new scenes. Since its return, this show is packed night after night. There are 2 hacks to enjoy the best seating for this show.

Fantasmic! Dining Package

One way to receive preferred seating is to book the Fantasmic! Dining Package. This is available at select dining locations.  Along with a delicious meal, this will also offer reserved seating for Fantasmic! in the center of the amphitheater.

Soon, one of these select dining locations will close. Big changes are coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Muppet Courtyard will close in phases, Including the closure of Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.

This dining location offers a moderate price to be able to enjoy preferred seating for Fantasmic!. The final day to dine at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will be May 10, 2025. After this closure, only 4 locations will offer Fantasmic! Dining Packages: 50’s Prime Time Cafe, Hollywood & Vine, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant, and the Hollywood Brown Derby.

If you hope to reserve a dining package on your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you may want to act quickly, as there will now be fewer options available.

Best Time to Watch Fantasmic!

There is a 2nd hack to enjoy the best seating for Fantasmic! When higher crowds are expected, a second showtime for Fantasmic! is added. For example, tonight, March 9th, guests can enjoy Fantasmic! showtimes at both 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm.

The final day to enjoy the Fantasmic! Dining Package at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will be on May 10, 2025.

If you want a preferred seat for Fantasmic! but want to save money on a Fantasmic! Dining Package, try to attend the second showing of Fantasmic! if two showtimes are offered. The crowds are much lower for the second show, and you can enjoy more Park time.
