Disney Weaves Coco into the Magic Kingdom

Disney reveals that soon we will see Coco in the Magic Kingdom in an all-new way! We can’t wait for the star-studded debut this summer!

You might remember back when Disney made announcements for expansions to the Magic Kingdom, the expansions called for more than just Villains Land. The initial announcement of Blue Sky concepts for what lies beyond Thunder Mountain included Encanto and Coco too!

Unfortunately, a Coco expansion seems to have fallen off the map (at least for now). However, it turns out that Disney does have plans to incorporate Coco into the Magic Kingdom in a different way.

Disney just revealed its plans for Coco. And, they are painted in Starlight!

Disney Starlight

Disney Starlight is an all-new nighttime parade that has many fans of the Magic Kingdom excited. It has been all too long since we had a nightly parade to light up the streets!

The parade just hit a big milestone, and the good news keeps coming! According to Disney Parks, “Disney Starlight” will get un poco loco with a new Coco float at Magic Kingdom!

Main Street will come alive with the sound of Mariachi music to announce the arrival of a larger-than-life Pepita as he comes soaring in! Below, Miguel will strum his guitar at the foot of a marigold bridge to the Land of the Dead. And the whole thing will be illuminated with sugar skull fireworks.  

Even More Fun

Miguel and friends will join the parade with shimmering characters and floats from Frozen, Peter Pan, and Encanto. You will even have a chance to see the Blue Ferry!

It all starts this summer at Walt Disney World!

While there is no opening date just yet, we sense it will be materializing soon! Stay tuned.
