When Can You Watch Mufasa on Disney+?

Lion King fans will not have to wait much longer. Disney has finally revealed exactly when we can watch Mufasa on Disney+!

Mufasa: The Lion King

 Mufasa: The Lion King takes moviegoers along on Mufasa’s rise to royalty in The Pride Lands. Even though the film had a modest theatrical run, it has gone beyond the break-even point on its $200 million budget. The film has earned over $600 million.

Disney developed a prequel to the original Lion King called Mufasa: The Lion King. It is a CGI film that provides audiences with the back story surrounding the famous lion who would one day rule the Pride Lands.

Streaming

Mufasa: The Lion King became available for streaming at home on February 18, 2025! The film is available for purchase or rent on other streaming platforms such as AppleTV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.

It is currently available on Prime Video for $29.99. Rentals are $24.99 for a 48-hour rental period.

Just last week, we shared that Mufasa would be available to stream on Disney+ by late March.

Disney+ Release Date

Disney has now shared the exact date we can stream Mufasa on Disney+! Mufasa will be available on Disney+ beginning March 26, 2025!
