Muppet fans, it’s almost time to play the music and light the lights because Disney just announced a brand new Muppet experience featuring more than a dozen of our favorite Muppet pals. We can’t wait to see this!
Disney Removes the Muppets
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has undergone many changes over the years. The news that Disney’s Hollywood Studios Muppet Courtyard would close to make room for a Monsters Inc. themed land was somewhat bittersweet.

Disney has shared that the Muppets will relocate within Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a re-theme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Disney has not announced when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will close for this change.
New Muppet Experience
This summer begins a magical celebration as Disneyland celebrates its 70th Anniversary. There will be new decorations and new looks for Mickey Mouse and his pals, the return of the Paint the Night Parade, a special addition to it’s a small world,” and more.
Disney’s California Adventure will debut an all new “World of Color” show. This will be inspired by Walt Disney’s words from the opening day park dedication from seven decades ago: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!”
The fun starts even before “World of Color” begins with a special message from some familiar faces. With the guidance of Joe the Legal Weasel, more than a dozen of The Muppets will deliver their message through vivid projections and expressive fountains ahead of the show.

The show is an interactive joyride where guests are encouraged to sing and dance along, which will even include Kermit’s famous song “Rainbow Connection” performed by Boyz II Men. The 70th Anniversary celebration kicks off on May 16, 2025.
