Disney has just started letting their Guests know that a new ban is in place. Find out if this ban will cause any disruption to your trip.
Florida Weather Warnings

There are many things to consider when planning your trip to Walt Disney World. From rainstorms to hurricane planning, Florida weather can put a few wrinkles even in the best-laid travel plans.
With a park located in Central Florida, Walt Disney World tries to update guests on weather advisories as quickly as possible.
Florida has been hit pretty hard this year with record low temps, a fog advisory, an even a ground stop to all flights last night at the Orlando International Airport.
Red Flag Warning Issued at Walt Disney World

After a beautiful weekend, a new cold front moves into Central Florida this morning, March 17th. Along with this cooler weather comes a dryer air and high wind combination, which issues a Red Flag warning for much of Central Florida, now affecting both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida.
This warning currently begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm today, March 17, 2025. There will be west winds to northwest winds 15-20 mph which may result in gusts up to 30 mph.
The “Red Flag” fire weather watch alerts guests of an extreme immediate fire risk. A similar warning was issued earlier this month as well.
Ban Now Issued

Everyone in these counties should avoid open flames or sparks as a burn ban is now in effect. This will significantly affect guests at Fort Wilderness with both campfires and grilling. This may also affect nighttime campfire activities at your Walt Disney World Resort.
A Red Flag weather warning was issued for Central Florida beginning at 12:00 pm and ending at 8:00 pm today, March 17, 2025.
Also, be advised to keep vehicles off dry grass and properly discard cigarettes. At this time, operational changes have not been issued by Walt Disney World. All nighttime entertainment is still listed but be advised that this could change throughout the day.
