Walt Disney World is becoming a construction zone with now more construction walls in place. Find out what area is affected and how this has changed this park literally overnight.
Construction at Disney World

Walt Disney said it best, “Around here, however, we don’t look backward for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
That is truly the case right now at Walt Disney World, with many projects underway. You can check out the current construction work at the Magic Kingdom HERE. Much work is also taking place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
DinoLand USA is slowly becoming extinct with a phased closure that will extend throughout 2025. This closure will make way for the new themed land, the Tropical Americas.
New Construction Walls

Disney announced that It’s Tough to Be a Bug will permanently close on March 17th, making the final day to enjoy this attraction yesterday March 16th. This space will soon transform into a new attraction, “Zootopia Better Together.” An opening timeline is set for Winter 2025.
Disney wasted no time removing all signage for this attraction and erecting construction walls for work to begin on this new attraction.
Although we are excited about this new show, we fear that with the phased closure of DinoLand USA and now the removal of this attraction, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now only a half-day park.
New Look of Animal Kingdom

Along with this change to Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s landscape, there is a new change with the park map as well. The “It’s Tough To Be a Bug” attraction is completely removed from the map.
“It’s Tough To Be a Bug” is now permanently removed from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom this morning received a brand new map for the park. With so many changes coming, this will not be the only map change needed for this year.
